Parvez Guzdar Young Scientist Award 2021
Applications are invited for Parvez Guzdar Award from Young Indian Scientists, below the age of 35 years (as on Jan.1, 2021), who have made significant research contributions in the field of plasma physics and controlled nuclear fusion research. The Institute for Plasma Research operates this Award from a corpus fund contributed by family and friends of Dr. Parvez Guzdar, whose research contributions spanned a broad spectrum of topics in plasma physics ranging from fundamental studies of plasma instabilities to novel applications and interpretation of experimental phenomena in magnetic fusion devices, laser fusion, space and astrophysical plasmas and various nonlinear systems.
The selected scientist will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 50,000/- and a citation and will be invited to deliver a talk on his work.

before 15 October, 2021. | J. S. Sodha PSSI Plasma Award 2021
Applications are invited for Jaidutt Saraswati Sodha PSSI Plasma Award (JSSSPPA-2021) from Indian Scientists, below the age of 50 years (as of Jan.1, 2021), who have made significant research contributions through publications in reputed journals in plasma physics (ranging from fundamental phenomena to novel applications, thermonuclear fusions etc.). The applicants are required to mention the h-value for citations received in the last one year which would be one of the main criteria.
The selected scientists will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 10,000/- and a citation during the Plasma Science Society of India (PSSI) National Symposium to be held online at BIT, Jaipur during December 13-15, 2011.
The application should include the Curriculum Vitae of the candidate, a complete list of publications, and h-index citation and should be sent to PSSI <pssi@ipr.res.in> before 31 October, 2021.
Please mention "JSSSPPA-2021" as the subject in your mail.
